Insurance changed - and possibly saved - my life. I tragically lost both my parents at the age of seven, and after that, I grew up in the foster care system. I bounced from city to city and school to school every year, never truly finding home. When I turned 18, I aged out of the foster care system. I left with just a few personal belongings, and a life insurance check from my mother's policy. It was only a few thousand dollars, but it was enough to get me a place to live and a car to get me to work. Without that life insurance, I would have been homeless, and probably in a much different place than I am today. I know from first-hand experience that having something in place is better than having nothing, because life insurance isn't about you. It's about making sure the people you love are taken care of.

I moved to Big Rapids from Knoxville this year, with my wife, Rebekah, and our three children. Since I didn't get to set down roots when I was younger, I love the passion and sense of community that is Big Rapids. I am grateful that my kids will get to grow up as the neighborhood around them does, as well. I am a mentor in Big Rapids Public Schools and you will frequently see me at local events. I go above and beyond for my family and community, and will go above and beyond for you, as well.
